Adaptive Dampers
Electronically controlled shock absorbers that adjust firmness in real-time based on driving conditions.
Adaptive dampers (like Bilstein DampTronic, Ohlins, or MagneRide) can switch between comfort and sport settings instantly. Magnetorheological dampers use iron particles suspended in fluid—when current is applied, the fluid becomes more viscous, stiffening the damper. This allows millisecond response times to bumps while maintaining body control in corners.
