Carbon Ceramic Brakes
High-performance brake discs made from carbon-reinforced silicon carbide, offering superior heat resistance.
Carbon ceramic brakes (CCB or PCCB) are 50% lighter than steel rotors, reducing unsprung mass and improving handling response. They resist fade at extreme temperatures (up to 900°C) and last significantly longer than steel. The drawbacks are high cost ($10,000+), poor cold performance, and squealing at low speeds. Standard on supercars and optional on sports cars.
