Limited Slip Differential
A differential that allows for some difference in angular velocity between output shafts but limits the slip.
An open differential sends power to the path of least resistance (often the spinning wheel). A Limited Slip Differential (LSD) mechanically or electronically locks the two wheels together when slip is detected, ensuring power is sent to the wheel with grip. This is essential for powering out of corners without losing traction.
