Battery Pack
The high-voltage energy storage unit in electric and hybrid vehicles, measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh).
Modern EV battery packs use lithium-ion cells arranged in modules and protected by sophisticated thermal management systems. Pack sizes range from 40 kWh in compact EVs to over 100 kWh in luxury models. Battery chemistry (NMC, LFP, solid-state) affects energy density, charging speed, lifespan, and cost. The pack is typically mounted in the floor for low center of gravity.
