Double Wishbone
An independent suspension design using two (upper and lower) wishbone-shaped arms to locate the wheel.
The double wishbone suspension is widely considered the superior design for performance vehicles. Unlike a MacPherson strut, which compromises camber gain during cornering, a double wishbone setup keeps the tire perpendicular to the road surface throughout the suspension travel range. This maximizes the contact patch and grip. It also allows engineers to tune parameters like anti-dive and anti-squat independently.
