Diffuser
A shaped section at the rear of a vehicle's underbody that accelerates air to create downforce.
The diffuser expands the airflow channel at the rear of the car, causing air to accelerate as it exits. This acceleration creates a low-pressure zone that generates downforce. Effective diffusers require clean airflow from the front of the car and sealed sides to prevent pressure equalization. They are the most efficient method of generating downforce.
