Weight Distribution

Ideal weight distribution depends on the drivetrain. Rear-wheel drive cars benefit from slight rear bias (48:52) for traction. Front-wheel drive cars work best with more forward weight. 50:50 distribution is considered ideal for balanced handling. Mid-engine cars naturally achieve rear-biased distribution, while front-engine RWD cars often use transaxles to achieve balance.
